ProtoShare supports a robust drag-and-drop system. You can move components by dragging them around the canvas and in the outline, and you can resize components using the handles on the canvas.
To move a component:
- Select the component on the canvas or in the outline.
- Drag the component and drop it on the canvas in the new location.
To resize a component:
- Select the component on the canvas.
- Drag one of the resize handles that appear along the sides and in the corners.
You can modify the drag-and-drop operation by holding the Alt (or Option), Control (or Command), and Shift keys:
| Move + Alt | Duplicate components (instead of moving). |
| Move + Control | Temporarily ignore the grid. |
| Move + Shift | Move components in one direction only (horizontal or vertical). |
| Resize + Alt | Resize from the center (instead of one corner/side). |
| Resize + Control | Temporarily ignore the grid. |
| Resize + Shift | Keep the current aspect ratio (width to height). |
