1. To download a ProtoShare design, simply click on the corresponding filename in the JIRA attachments list. Note that each design file represents a single version of a ProtoShare design. Design filenames begin with the design name and have a “.html” extension. Clicking on a design’s filename will automatically begin downloading the HTML design file to your computer. If the download fails to start, please check your browser security settings.

2. ProtoShare design files are distinguished in the JIRA attachment manager using a special Mime Type of “application/protoshare”. This is done solely to improve the functionality of the ProtoShare for JIRA add-on. The content of ProtoShare design files is pure HTML, CSS and JavaScript and can thus be hosted on any standard web server for viewing and sharing outside of the JIRA environment. The files can also be opened directly from your computer, but an Internet connection is still required so that additional support files can be loaded.
